About Kami Tremblay Design, Decorative Painting

Kami Tremblay: Kami Tremblay has been the Principal and Artist of Kami Tremblay Design since 1997. During that time she has completed over 600 decorative painting and design projects for over 200 clients. She is an accomplished athlete who has guest ridden on Professional Womens cycling teams and won many semi-pro races. She holds a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art with specialization in graphic design and she studied textile design in Holland during 2002. When she’s not training for a cycling race or saving the world with a paint brush she’s combining the two by serving on the board of directors for the Bike for Breast cancer foundation or serving as the artistic director for the us women’s cycling development program. Her artistic vision is just simply to make her clients happy. She thrives on the entire experience of getting to know her clients and helping them to find their own vision for their home, then, making that vision a reality. Idle hands make Idle minds, with her calendar, enthusiasm, and pure entrepreneurial drive Kami keeps both hand and mind whirling 24x7. HOUSE | Modern Gold: Color Consult

When you have an open floor plan deciding what colors to do can be tricky. In this home we decided to go with a warm color pallete, staying with the golds and yellows. The dining room painting set the mood for the first floor, giving a modern yet classic feel. Adding a splash of bold vibrant color can be intimidating, yet a wonderful conversation piece!
