Painted Stripes

At the end of the month, I will be adding a glaze over the top of the stripes to lessen the contrast, and make it more neutral than it is now. This room was designed by Kimberly McCarl, of Interior Concepts in Annapolis MD.

Leather Faux

These are the same stripes that were shown in the previous post. The lighter stripe leads into the hallway creating another good merge between colors, but also adds an interesting twist in size and form.

Fauxed Stripe

Before:
After: I used the same technique that was used in the sun room, and created the red stripe. After I did the red stripe I used the same faux in the sun room and created a smoke look over the stripes. It tied in everything wonderfully!

Intergrated Foyer

Here we have the first step of the faux. I then taped off 6 inch stripes to intergrate all the colors in the open floor plan.

Modern Living

The First Stage. The first solution is not always the best solution...
We're getting closer, but it's still not working...

The room has been put together, yet it's still not working!
Ahh, finally! The accent wall works with the room! Always try new solutions... it's only paint!
